Professional Timeline and Milestones

Awards and Recognitions

  • Worked on various projects in the finance, retail, and home improvement domains. Was a part of the core design team for Finacle (an Infosys product) Loan Origination platform. Conceptualized and designed 50+ screens for an onboarding experience. Worked on 100+ screens in Responsive Web Design (RWD) for 2 high profile Australian Banks that use the Finacle design system. Was an active resource in designing a Retail Metaverse platform for Intel Labs.

  • Conceptualized and designed the new range of credit and debit cards for Zolve, a neo-bank that focuses on making the banking experience smooth for immigrant students.

  • Designed T-Shirts, posters, stickers, advertisements, and other graphics for Rustik Travel, a travel startup that focuses on sustainable tourism. Worked on over 10+ projects for the organization.

  • Responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and modeling 500+ 3D human assets for an Indonesian Cryptocurrency platform as a part of their efforts toward customer acquisition.

  • Part of the design team responsible for creating storefront campaigns for 1700+ stores across the USA and Canada. Collaborated with the printing team to publish and execute 6+ retail product campaigns

I am Sowmyashree (you can call me Sowmya, Shree, or both!), a first-year student studying Human-Computer Interaction and UX Design at Purdue University.

I am passionate about designing products that are sensible and sensitive. I love to solve problems- starting on a system level, till every pixel to create solutions that are usable and accessible to users.

I started my design career with an undergraduate degree in architectural design, which gave me a strong stepping stone into the various fields that Design offers. I  would want to make an impact with my design- however big or small that impact may be. 

I empathize with diverse contexts to build meaningful and innovative solutions.

What I am doing at Purdue

After I joined Purdue for my master’s, I was exposed to world-class faculty and facilities across various design domains and departments. I wanted to make the best use of my short time here, so I am involving myself with a lot of cool research and projects.

Apart from academics, I was very active in extracurriculars. I participated and won quite a few competitions and awards throughout my academic and professional journey.
